On Tuesday morning this week, Lionel was waiting patiently on our doorstep for someone to let him in. His wing seemed to be broken and his head sloped to one side. I put him in box and called the RSPCA for his collection but he went absolutely berserk. There was no sign of his collection so I let him fly around in the kitchen. Immediately he looked happier, went over to the sink and drank some water from a cup then sat on the handle of the window in the warm sun and had a mid-morning snooze. I purchased some Trill and he scoffed like there was no tomorrow and went back to sleep.
He seems to have taken residence in our lamp and I don’t have it in me to let him go. His neck has made a vast improvement and maybe he’ll make a full recovery. Otherwise, he might be too ill and just die. Either way I’m going to buy him a cage to hang out in this weekend along with some of those bell-shaped seed things and a mirror so he thinks he has a friend of his own species.

I am very excited about meeting Lionel. He looks like a really cool guy and i’d like to talk about christian theology with him.
